The Craft Leather Company is a family-owned business in India that was established in 1977. The designers at Craft Leather are true masters of their craft. The Agarwal family has been manufacturing high-end shoes in India for more than forty years. It has been our mission to produce the finest men's shoes in the world, combining Italian detail and comfort with Indian craft and craftsmanship. DESIGN
The craft leather designs are unique. We endeavor to strike a balance between traditional and contemporary design, re-inventing the classics for men who seek something stylish, but not overly-stylized. A constant emphasis is also placed on finding the appropriate equilibrium between the shoe's last and its style.
COMFORT
In accordance with our mission, we aim to develop shoes that are extremely comfortable to wear. This will provide our customers with the perfect combination of comfort , quality and durability.
MADE IN INDIA
Every single pair of our shoes is manufactured in our own factory in Agra (India). About 30 individuals devote their time and resources to the production of our shoes, which we consider to be the finest footwear available in the world. We also ensure that our operatives work directly under the direction of Amit Agarwal, in addition to being highly skilled.
LEATHER
Choosing the best leather is not sufficient. It is our policy not to compromise on the quality of raw materials. However, the selection and composition of the hide areas that should be used to make the shoes are equally important. We at The Craft Leather select only the finest calf leather and have it finished by the finest leather finishing houses in order to achieve perfection. Some skins are procured half-finished, and their leathers are antiqued in our facility. We regularly fly our craftsmen to visit the tanneries where our leather is made. CRAFTMANSHIP
Our team, led by Amit Agarwal, is unmatched in the industry. They have years of experience in the footwear industry. The majority of the team is composed of bespoke craftsmen who have comprehensive knowledge of footwear. They are all multi-skilled, and their craftsmen are best trainned.
THE FINISHED PRODUCTS – THE SHOES
One such feature is our bevelled fiddle-back waist, with a stained V-style design and contrasting dark brown with chestnut colour foresole and heel, patterned on traditional bespoke aesthetics. Combined with proportioned patterns that work in perfect harmony with our bespoke-designed lasts, the result is a shoe that fits and looks better than any other shoe made today. Our shoes have many features that are not seen elsewhere in ready-to-wear, some of which have been inspired by bespoke shoe making and others that come down to innovative design.
SHOE CARE & PRESENTATION
Before being shipped to our customers, our shoes are hand-finished and are subjected to rigorous quality control in the finishing room. The shoe trees we provide are made in India and are hand-lasted to scrupulously match your pair of shoes.
